An Anti-TED Talk, performed at the Not Quite King, Not Quite Fish Artistic-Research Symposium.

ChatGPT helped me create a script for an “Anti-TED Talk that critiques the gendered rhetorical power dynamics and digital capitalist ideology inherent in the TED Talk format using quotes from French philosophers Luce Irigaray and Jacques Rancière.”

I then gave the script over to audience participants for them to enact, experimenting with the “redistribution of the sensible” and an alternative to the (male) expert / consumer audience relationship.

I introduced games and activities, spontaneous interactions, and several little surprises along the way.
